Hi, I’m Rick. I write about web development, performance, and the state of the web.
I’m a developer relations engineer at Google, working on the Baseline project in Chrome. Previously, I worked on web performance developer relations and was also a core maintainer of the HTTP Archive project. Before that, I did web development at YouTube.
I love using data to understand how the web is built. I started the Web Almanac and Core Web Vitals Technology Report projects to help make that data more publicly accessible to the web community.
I live in New York with my wife, dog, and two kids.
